A bar fence is a fence made of welded sections and metal posts. Fences of this type are used to protect private territory, suburban areas, public buildings, industrial, and restricted-access facilities. Round or square cross-section bars are used for the manufacture of panels. The transverse rails are made of steel strips or shaped pipes and the support posts are made of round or square pipes.

The main stages of manufacturing sections:

● Welding of the frame. A frame of the required size is welded from the shape pipe.

● Filling the section. Bars are laid on the frame and welded in accordance with the sketch.

● Installation of horizontal guides. In order to strengthen the section and to make it rigid, the rods are connected with horizontal ties.

The bars in the section are welded at an interval from each other.

Options for fences made of shaped pipes or bars

There are a large number of design options for sections. The bars can be arranged in parallel or form a complex geometric pattern. The sections are decorated with forging elements and cast peaks, which, in addition to their decorative function, serve as additional protection. The upper part of the posts is covered with plastic plugs or special metal covers are welded to the upper part of the posts.

All welds are cleaned and sanded to remove rust and debris.

Installation is performed in the following order:

1. Preparation. Trees, shrubs, and tall grass are removed along the perimeter of the site.

2. Markup. The perimeter of the site is marked and the points where the support posts will be installed are marked.

3. Earthworks. According to the pre-marking, wells for posts are drilled.

4. Installation of supports. The posts are installed in the ground with driving, backfilling, or concreting.

5. Installation of sections. The spans are filled with sections, i.e. the finished panels are welded to the posts.

The method of installing posts is selected depending on the type and characteristics of the soil on the site. The supports are driven on stable and dense soil free from large stones and construction debris. Backfilling is used when installing fences in areas with moist, heaving soil. In areas with sandy loose soil and high groundwater levels, the posts are installed with full concreting.
